Borg is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur and engineer who brings more than twenty years of experience in impact, ESG, and technology investing and business leadership. Borg spent almost a decade at leading global investment firm, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), where he was a Managing Director responsible for the Nordic Region and very active in KKR’s ESG efforts.

In his role as a Board Member at Coolbrook, Borg will primarily advise on financing as the company prepares its technology for commercial deployment by 2024.

Commenting on his appointment, Borg said: “In my over 20 years in the investment and asset management industry, I struggled to find a single company or idea with a larger positive impact on the environment and global CO2 emissions than Coolbrook. I am very excited to join the board of directors.”
