’Could industry go green at last in 2024?’ asked The Economist on their visit to Coolbrook’s Pilot plant for their documentary film ‘The World Ahead 2024: five stories to watch out for’. The documentary is a part of the publication’s broad outlook for the year 2024.
Coolbrook CEO Joonas Rauramo had the opportunity to discuss the role of new technology and electrification in decarbonization of hard-to-abate heavy industries while also sharing the steps Coolbrook is taking to roll-out our technology to customers’ sites starting in 2024. With clean electrification, Coolbrook’s technology can remove the need to use fossil fuels in high-temperature industrial processes, bringing the potential to reduce CO2 emissions from heavy industries by 2.4Gt annually.
“The last 2-3 years have really been the game changer for us. What we have now seen is that the heavy industry is really starting to move”, Joonas shared with The Economist Films at Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
