We are delighted to welcome Joonas Rauramo to his new role as Coolbrook’s Executive Vice President of Strategy and Industrial Partnerships, starting on 1 October, 2021.

In his new role, Rauramo will drive Coolbrook’s company strategy and help to forge industrial partnerships and cooperation with public-sector entities. The goal is to continue to make Coolbrook’s revolutionary RDR technology the new industry standard in petrochemicals.

Prior to joining Coolbrook, Joonas spent well over a decade in various roles leading Fortum’s business development towards a sustainable and renewable future and was for the last three years heading Fortum’s onshore wind business. With his vast experience in business strategy and development and renewable energy, he is a valuable addition to the Coolbrook team.

I have experienced the rapid growth of wind and solar energy in the power generation sector. With Coolbrook’s revolutionary technology we can now de-carbonize ethylene production with electricity from renewable sources. Electrification is key to achieving the urgently needed CO2 emission reductions in this major industrial sector and I am thrilled to join Coolbrook’s team to drive this change forward.

Coolbrook’s CEO, Harri Johannesdahl, and the entire Coolbook team are thrilled to welcome Rauramo to the team.

Renewable energy plays an essential role in our RDR technology’s ability to cut fully the CO2 emissions from steam cracking and thus Joonas’s experience and knowledge in this field is a great contribution to our growing team.

Coolbrook is currently building an RDR Pilot at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, Geleen, Netherlands to demonstrate its clean, CO2-free RDR technology. The company is on a mission to make RDR technology the new industry standard and eliminate 300 million tons of CO2 emissions caused by ethylene production throughout the world.

Coolbrook Ltd. is a Finnish-Dutch technology and engineering company on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable and profitable way to produce Olefins, the main component in the petrochemical industry and the production of plastics, chemical products, packaging and more. Coolbrook’s Roto Dynamic Reactor (RDR) is a revolutionary technology that combines space science, turbomachinery and chemical engineering to replace the current inefficient and polluting steam cracking methods used to make Olefins with a radically cleaner and more effective alternative. Backed by a growing number of governments, petrochemical producers and environmental regulators, Coolbrook’s RDR technology is set to become the new global standard in Olefins production. https://coolbrook.com/
