Tuomas Ouni (Doctor of Science, Chemical Engineering) has joined Coolbrook as a Senior Process Development Expert.

We are delighted to announce that Tuomas Ouni (Doctor of Science, Chemical Engineering) has joined Coolbrook as a Senior Process Development Expert, starting in early July. In his new role, Dr. Ouni is in charge of the chemical process and analytical system development of Coolbrook’s revolutionary RDR technology.

Prior to joining Coolbrook, Dr. Ouni was Group Expert of Hydrocarbon Technologies at Borealis Polymers. With almost two decades of experience in process development engineering, he brings valuable experience and expertise to the Coolbrook team.

Coolbrook’s RDR is a state-of-the-art technology that has the potential to be the first commercially available and most cost-efficient technology for electrifying high temperature processes. With my expertise and experience, I expect to be able to significantly contribute to the development and success of this breakthrough technology.

Coolbrook’s CEO, Harri Johannesdahl, and the entire Coolbook team are very much looking forward to working with Dr. Ouni. “Tuomas Ouni is a senior expert with extensive experience in process development in the petrochemical industry. He will undoubtedly play an important role in helping to further develop our RDR technology,” Johannesdahl notes.

Coolbrook is currently building an RDR Pilot at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, Geleen, Netherlands to demonstrate its clean, CO2-free RDR technology. The company is on a mission to make RDR technology the new industry standard and eliminate 300 million tons of CO2 emissions caused by ethylene production throughout the world.

Coolbrook Ltd. is a Finnish engineering company on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable and profitable way to produce Olefins, the main component in the petrochemical industry and the production of plastics, chemical products, packaging and more. Coolbrook’s Roto Dynamic Reactor (RDR) is a revolutionary technology that combines space science, turbomachinery and chemical engineering to replace the current inefficient and polluting steam cracking methods used to make Olefins with a radically cleaner and more effective alternative. Backed by a growing number of governments, petrochemical producers and environmental regulators, Coolbrook’s RDR technology is set to become the new global standard in Olefins production. http://coolbrook.com/
