Coolbrook, a transformational technology and engineering company, is calling for bold and immediate action from both governments and the private sector to tackle the climate crisis. As COP30 begins, Coolbrook stresses the need for clear climate targets and decisive leadership to accelerate the global shift toward a low-carbon future — without getting bogged down in definitions or delays.
Coolbrook will participate in COP30 in Belém as part of the Finnish Pavilion, where it will host a panel discussion titled “Electrification as a Key Vector for Industrial Decarbonisation” on 15 November at 3:00 p.m. local time (UTC−3) at the Finland Pavilion in the Blue Zone (C63).
The session will bring together leading voices from across industry and the global energy transition:
- Lord Adair Turner, Chairman, Energy Transition Commission
- Gustavo Checcucci, Director, Energy and Industrial Decarbonization, Braskem
- Joonas Rauramo, CEO, Coolbrook
The discussion will be moderated by Tuuli Kaskinen, CEO of the Climate Leadership Coalition.
“We have no time to waste,” said Joonas Rauramo, CEO of Coolbrook. “Governments need to set bold targets and take decisive action, while the private sector leads by deploying the technologies that already exist to cut emissions at scale. The solutions are here — what we need is the courage and commitment to implement them. The transition is happening, and it must be bold enough to drive real impact.”
Coolbrook supports a global carbon price of USD 200 per tonne of CO₂ by 2035, a level that could drive up to 90% emissions reductions across all sectors, including petrochemicals, steel, and cement. The company calls on the world’s largest economies to lead this transition while encouraging collaboration between governments and the private sector to create the policies and incentives needed to accelerate it.
Coolbrook’s participation at COP30 reflects its mission to decarbonise heavy industry through electrification — replacing fossil fuels with renewable electricity in high-temperature processes.
Coolbrook’s revolutionary RotoDynamic technology combines rocket science, turbomachinery, and chemical engineering to replace fossil fuels in energy-intensive industries. By working closely with governments and industrial partners, Coolbrook aims to accelerate decarbonisation at global scale and help secure a liveable planet for generations to come.
