We’re excited to share that Coolbrook has been featured in Operations Engineer Magazine in an article titled “An Industrial Revolution.” The piece highlights the urgent need to decarbonize industrial processes, with our CEO Joonas Rauramo stressing the importance of shifting from fossil-fuel-based systems to electrified alternatives. “The need for a revolution in industrial processes stems from the urgent challenge of climate change and heavy industry’s contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions,” Rauramo states.
The article focuses on Coolbrook’s RotorDynamic Technology, which enables high-temperature industrial processes, such as steel and cement production, to run on renewable electricity. The technology has the potential to generate temperatures up to 1,700°C and achieve 95% energy efficiency without burning fossil fuels. This technology has the potential to cut global industrial CO₂ emissions by a third. “Electrification offers a transformative pathway to decarbonise these processes,” Rauramo explains.
Coolbrook’s successful large-scale demonstrations and collaborations with leading industry players demonstrate that these innovations are ready to be implemented, marking a significant step forward towards a new, clean industrial era.
