April 2026 – Doncasters, a leading international manufacturer of high-precision, engineering components, is thrilled to announce it is joining the Cleantech sector through a first‑of‑its‑kind cooperation with transformational Finnish technology and engineering company Coolbrook. The cooperation will see Doncasters serve as a manufacturer of complex aerofoil castings for Coolbrook’s patented RotoDynamic Heater™ (RDH™) technology.
Coolbrook’s innovative technology is projected to reduce global CO2 emissions in heavy industry sectors by up to 30% (2.4 Gt) through electrification and decarbonisation powered by clean, renewable energy. This cooperation also supports the world’s first commercial‑scale deployment of RDH™ at Adani Cement’s Boyareddypalli Integrated Cement Plant in India. By supplying high-precision aerofoil casting components, Doncasters will play a critical role in enabling this first-of-its-kind industrial demonstration and supporting the scaling of RDH™ Technology across major industrial sectors.
Doncasters will manufacture complex components for the RotoDynamic Heater™ Technology at its precision casting facility in Chard, Somerset, UK. The site is undergoing a schedule of new investments including a new Shell line to bolster its position at the forefront of manufacturing complex, challenging superalloy investment castings in Europe. These capabilities are essential to meeting the performance and reliability requirements of high-temperature electrification systems as they move into continuous industrial operation.
Additional production is planned across other Doncasters sites in the future, reflecting the increasing demand for scalable manufacturing solutions as electrification technologies progress toward broader industrial adoption.
Sales director Ian Jones said: “Doncasters is proud to be at the forefront of supporting the revolutionary electric technology developed by Coolbrook, helping reduce CO2 emissions through the introduction of electrification in the most polluting sectors of industry.”
Joonas Rauramo, CEO of Coolbrook, commented: “Working with Doncasters is an important step in bringing our RotoDynamic Heater™ Technology into real-world applications. Their expertise in complex precision casting enables us to move to industrial-scale deployment. Delivering the Adani project requires a strong and capable manufacturing base, and contributions like this are essential to ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability as we bring electrified high-temperature solutions into operation.”
About Coolbrook:
Hailed as the key technology for industrial decarbonization globally, Coolbrook is a transformational technology and engineering company on a mission to decarbonize major industrial sectors like petrochemicals and chemicals, iron and steel, and cement. Coolbrook’s revolutionary rotating technology combines space science, turbomachinery and chemical engineering to replace the burning of fossil fuels across all major industrial sectors. The technology has two main applications: RotoDynamic Reactor™ (RDR™) to reach 100% CO2 free olefin production, and RotoDynamic Heater™ (RDH™) to provide carbon-free process heating to iron and steel, cement and chemicals production. Once implemented at scale, the RotoDynamic Technology has the potential to reach temperatures of 1700°C and cut 2.4 billion tons (30%) of annual CO2 emissions in heavy industry.
